Everywhere we have been so far has been gorgeous, Unique in many ways, but gorgeous.

Was surprised at the amount of water in some areas and the lack of water in other areas.

Impressed by the rolling hills of northern Saskatchewan and the puddles and ponds that speckle the landscape.

Where we travelled in Manitoba was bilingual. Had no idea that there was a large french influence in this province.

Manitoba did not appear to be as friendly as their licence plate professes.

The Great Lakes from a distance remind me of the ocean, but up close they don't smell like an ocean. So far the lake water has been crystal clear emerald green..

Amazing how many farms speckle the landscape throughout all of the provinces.

Have seen many Rona, Home Hardware, Lowes, all across the country. Many new homes being built all over, the cities and countryside.

Expecting prices to increase as we have headed east, but it doesn't appear to have increased. If anything, prices are down. Gas currently June 13, 2016 $0.999/liter, A Denver omelette at Niagara Falls diner $8.50 compared to about $13.50 in Abbotsford.

Road conditions surprisedly are very similar.

Sad to see that historic downtowns are 50% occupancy or less. Beautiful old buildings, vacant.

At Niagara Falls, The multinational large hotel chains are everywhere and yet a mile (kilometre) or 2 down the road, motels are closed or offering rooms for $39 -$49 a night...
